Operator Interface
The PieceCounter is designed to be self-installed. The operator interface is attached to overhead superstructure or slick rail with a 1 1/2 inch ball and socket arm providing limitless adjustments. Other mounting options are available based on plant needs.
Sensor
We have two accurate sensing methods depending on your plant layout:
- Proximity Sensor - works best for plants with a dedicated drop line from each pressing station to a central slick or screw rail.
- Photoelectric Sensor - works best for plants that do not have a dedicated drop line. The presser will pass the hanger through an infrared beam which captures the count.
Cabling
The cabling utilizes standard Cat-5 Ethernet cables. You can use store bought lengths or build your own cables.* You can also hire any networking company to run your cables for you.
General
- One operator interface is mounted at each pressing station.
- Each operator interface requires a standard 110v outlet for power.
- Each operator interface is networked (with the Cat-5 cable) to a router or switch which is connected to a high speed modem.
- Each sensor is connected to its corresponding operator interface with a special 3-wire cable.
* Caution: Building your own cables is only recommended for those with experience building Ethernet cables.
