Manage Pressers Effectively
Assessing your presser's performance is simple and accurate with the PieceCounter. Our highly accurate sensors are sure to count every piece (click here to see pictures of the sensors in a new window). Pressers specify what they are pressing so you know exactly how many pieces per hour each presser is pressing for each type of job. For example, you can see how many pants per hour presser A is pressing. If presser A also presses coats, you can see exactly how may coats per hour presser A is pressing. Piece totals no longer have to be grouped together regardless of what is being pressed. This gives you accurate, reliable and relevant information in a timely manner. Performance appraisals and raises are easily justified with just a few clicks of the mouse.
Monitor Pressers in Real Time
The PieceCounter allows you to monitor your pressers in real-time anywhere you have access to the Internet. All performance data is uploaded to a central database. This data is easily accessible through a simple web interface. You and your managers can see how your pressers are performing in real-time or you can see a summary of how they performed over a period of time. Click Sample Reports to view some of the reports available on the web or click Web Interface Demo Login to generate reports from an actual operating plant.
How the system works
Each PieceCounter is equiped with an LCD touch screen. When a presser begins work they log into the PieceCounter at the pressing station with their employee number. They then select a job from a predefined list that you create. Each job has its own PPH goal. After touching Ok on the confirmation screen the feedback screen is displayed and continually updates every second with the current PPH and efficiency. Check out our interactive demo to see this process.
When the presser is done finishing a garment they pass it by one of our sensors as they hang the garment on a central line or hang it on a drop line that takes the garment by a sensor. The sensor counts the garement and the presser's total pieces, PPH and efficiency is updated and displayed on the PieceCounter.
When the presser needs to change the type of garment they are pressing they simply touch End Session, Change Job and then select the new job they will be performing. After touching Ok on the confirmation screen they are back to the feedback screen. Any prior work done that day for the selected job can be included in the current score.
When it's time to go on a break or lunch, the presser touches End Session and selects the reason for ending their work session from a list that you create. With this information you can eaisly see how long pressers are taking for breaks or if they frequently run out of pieces to press.
